Building is a big part of who I am

I fell in love with business building back when I helped my uncle open his coffee shop in 2004.

I was a junior in college and excited to learn all the things: finance! operations! marketing! pour over vs. french press!

This experience happened to coincide with my entrepreneurship class, and together they inspired my (third) major change to Business.

Upon graduation, I landed in banking which my parents were proud to share with their friends because doesn't it sound fancy and important?

I hated it.

After dropping out of grad school, I picked up and moved to Colorado where I lived in a friend's unfinished basement, sleeping on a half-filled air mattress until I started a new job and got my own place.

It was 2008 and I worked in hospitality. We all know how that went.

I'll never forget walking into the downtown headquarters to learn much of the corporate staff had been laid off. While I was "spared", they moved me to a totally different department to do a job I never signed up for.

A mentor at this time encouraged me to consider creating multiple revenue streams, but I took him one step further and built an entire business on the side, then left my full time job to pursue my dream of entrepreneurship.

...Right in the middle of a gigantic economic downturn in a city where I knew hardly anyone. 😅

And so began my journey of trial and error, ups and downs, never ending "no's", and regular all nighters so I could do it all.

I loved it.

And years later, I still do (albeit, with a little more sleep these days).

That's why I'm here, passionate about sharing my experience and helping other serious entrepreneurs get the right things done.

Because the end of the day, building is a big part of who I am. 💫
