Things Began to Shift for Me When I Decided to Change Myself

I used to live in a near constant state of fear, lack, and disappointment.

Sadly, this is a normalized state for many.

Fear will hold you back from taking next steps.

Lack will make it impossible to express gratitude.

Disappointment will keep you unhappy, bitter, and resentful.

I know this, because I lived it for years.

But one day I woke up and something changed. I had been navigating a series of life experiences that left me jobless, broke, and sleeping on the floor of an apartment in rural Arkansas with my 5 year old.

Needless to say, times were tough.

And, as cheesy as it may sound, a bird singing its morning song outside my window brought me back to what mattered.

I journaled for an hour about everything I was grateful for - that bird coming to visit me, my daughter’s smile, the air that filled my lungs…

That moment served as a catalyst which led to so much more.

It led me to face myself, work through my pain, step into the unknown, build a business, and ultimately live a life that I previously felt unworthy of living. A life of love and gratitude.

It’s not easy, but it’s certainly possible.

All it takes is one decision - to change yourself. 💙
