Go After What You Want

I am a normal person who left full time employment to build something on my own.

It’s not a rare story.

Being a “freelancer” simply means I work for myself, sourcing my clients and offering my services to help solve their problems.

And I happen to use project management to do so.

Over the years, I’ve worked with many amazing clients - and some challenging ones 😅

I’ve had months where revenue was far more than I expected, and others where all I could do was cross my fingers and pray.

I’ve managed big projects, small projects, built programs, delivered trainings, coached hundreds of project professionals, and connected people. At times, there have been contracts that were so big I had to hire several others to help me execute.

Again, nothing particularly special here and I can’t claim to have done anything extraordinary other than create a flexible life for myself that allows me to be present for my daughter during her precious young years. Effectively, I achieved my goal. ⭐

But here’s the part I didn’t expect:

When I first came on to this platform, I decided to show up in the spirit of learning. I found some great folks to follow and learned a lot about stuff I didn’t know, like sales, marketing, and content creation.

Well, guess what happens when you show up for YEARS, each day committed to learning something new while striving to get better with every action and making new friends along the way?

You start to become good at whatever it is you’re trying to do.

You learn from mistakes and rack up the lessons learned.

And you build a network of solid connections.

Staying curious and open to whatever this journey brings my way has blessed me with opportunities I never would have expected.

And that’s pretty special.

Yeah, I may be “just” another solopreneur or freelance person, but my experience has felt anything but ordinary.

So take this as a friendly reminder to ignore all the noise out there and get after what YOU want.

It's your journey and that's what matters. 💫
