I'll keep going, because I still have a long way to go

Four years ago I was a laid off project manager with a genuine passion to help others.

My dream was to share project management best practices with startup teams around the world.

I believed the implementation of simple techniques could change the entire trajectory of an organization. I believed it because I had seen it happen.

So for the past 1,460ish days I have opened my eyes each morning with the same goal: to help startup project managers succeed.

This passion has resulted in the production of over 150 project management videos on YouTube, opportunities to work with purpose-driven organizations, and countless new friends who are equally as passionate about their area of expertise.

One such friend is John Connolly, the mastermind behind the "Executing Excellence" book project.

Several months ago John invited a group of project managers to contribute to the project.

Lots of hard work later, we had a book.

Last week I received my copies in the mail.

And today, I'm traveling to visit one of my clients, book in hand and ready to gift!

The timing couldn't be anymore perfect as my client and I are in the midst of an operational improvement initiative for their team. What better way to build a culture of project management excellence than by incorporating the wisdom of a group of veteran project managers?!

All this to say - four years ago it would have been hard to imagine being a part of a book project or traveling across the country to deliver a training or even posting here on LinkedIn.

But here I am. It happened.

And I'll keep going, because I still have a long way to go. 💫
