Peace of mind is priceless

Freelance project managers work from the car while waiting for their kiddo to finish extracurricular activities.

(Actually, I think most working parents do that, but I'm doing my best to make my post relevant here 😅 ).

In all seriousness, I have no idea what I would do if I didn't have flexibility with my work.

If I had to show up at an office every day for 9 hours, my daughter wouldn't be able to take dance or piano, I would have to find after school care, and I would miss out on all the fun of the school pickup line 😉.

So I'm eternally grateful for the lifestyle I've created which gives me the opportunity to be present for my girl during her precious school years (even if I do work from the car most days).

All that aside, I often get questions about how I'm able to swing this financially, so here are my best practices:

✅ Spend less than you make.

✅ Create a budget and actually follow it.

✅ Build multiple income streams (at least 4).

✅ Stop being afraid of money and start viewing it as a tool instead.

✅ Work with a financial advisor or other trusted person to develop a long term strategy for your money so it actually works for you.

Am I a gazillionaire? Nope.

But do I have everything I need? Yep.

Peace of mind is priceless. 💫
